it’s a tale as old as time… sort of. written in 2003, this cute fairy tale is rewritten in a more modern sense. Eimi is not new at her school, but she’s living in the dorms which is TOTALLY new for her. here, she meets her best friends, Misao and Suzu, who are barely important to the story accept that they are trying to hook her up with the well intentioned and highly attractive Shimonuki Satoshi who happens to be in love with Eimi to begin with. Eimi is totally oblivious to this fact and goes on in silent admiration of Wanibuchi Takami (she calls him “Wanichiin”). Can you imagine the drama to insue?

We can thank Tomo Matsumoto for this little pleasure which is sure to brighten your day.

Ladies and Gentlemen! I present to you February! I figured since February is the month of love, what better topic than the guardian of love and justice herself: SAILOR MOON!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this incredibly popular 90’s manga, anime, 2003 Japanese Live-Action drama series, and age shows spanning this whole time, I cry for you. I may be just a TAD bit bias because I personally think that the first arc is the BEST LOVE STORY EVER WRITTEN!!! (and yes, that includes Twilight by Stephanie Myers)
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Sailor Moon is the story of Usagi Tsukino (in English her name is Serena or Bunny) and her 4 best friends AMi (Amy), Rei (Raye), Makoto (Lita), and Minako (Mina). As they work their way through middle school and eventually high school whilst carrying the burrden of a past life in which they were super heroines and princesses. (Believable, right?) It’s far-fetched, but any fan understands that Naoko Takeuchi, the mangaka, has the power to bend reality and make it believable. It can be split into 5 major arcs.

1. Sailor Moon Classic (also referred to as “The dark Kingdom Arc”.
2. Sailor Moon R (“The Black Moon Arc”)
3. Sailor Moon S (“The Infinity Arc”
4. Sailor Moon Super S (“The Dream Arc”)
5. Sailor Moon Stars (“the Stars Arc”)

Over the next month I plan to do a post on each season as well as each character. If I can :) Fingers Crossed because I have been preparing all January for this!

Avatar: The Last Airbender

January is Avatar Month! I plan to spend a month on a topic before moving on to the next one. You may notice that the background is now avatar themed. :) I love this series and plan to do a series on youTube dissecting the characters. And I’d just like to see WMG claim my content!

So, one of my favorite parts about this series is the amount of interesting characters and combinations you can put together. I’ve even seen some Zuko-Azula pairings. And they’re SIBLINGS!

I PERSONALLY AM A FAN OF:

ZuTara (Zuko and katara) and  Tokka (Toph and Sokka). I do like Aang, but he and Katara don’t work for me. I also am a VERY minor fan of SoLee (Sokka and Ty Lee). She is my fav girl, he’s my second fav guy (Zuko pwns all!!!) and if he didn’t end up with Toph, I’d want him to be with Ty Lee.

YouTube Killed my AMV :(

Due to WMG’s blatant disregard for my artistic spirit, I have, of today, deleted my AMV(is it safe to assume my audience knows that this is short for “anime music video”?). I only had one posted, but the soundtrack was muted and it was rather unfortunate. So, I have vowed to NEVER to upload my AMVs to YouTube again. Dramatic? Entirely.

Instead, I chose to share them here at Otaku Anonymous where I’m sure some other fan girl will discover it and check it out every now and again.

My current OBSESSION is Avatar: The Last Airbender (associated with Nickelodeon and owned by Mike and Bryan). Did you hear? The last airbender, the avatar movie, is coming out this July! (July 2nd, 2010). I’m totally Psyched!

In the series, if you didn’t already know, Aang is the Avatar who’s duty it is to restore peace in a world at war. His friends Sokka and Katara (brother and sister from the Water tribe) accompany him in his travels to learn all four elements. I’m a particular fan of the pairing Zuko and Katara who are (in canon) enemies right up until the end. But I believe that they have to be the best pairing in the show (second place goes to Sokka and Toph who also aren’t a canon couple).
